such as marketing, sales, convergence initiatives and start up roles in internet and emerging marketing services.

mba from IISWBM, calcutta, he has worked with some of the largest brands in India and South  East Asia,
with expertise in both the supply and demand sides of business management. 

started his career with The Times of India, and for the initial few years, served across various lines of business,
namely: sales, brand management and general management. later, he worked with world renowned advertising agencies,
such as Lintas, and thereafter media agencies, such as Initiative Media, Zenith Media India and, as GM at ZenithOptimedia, Malaysia. 
at ZenithOptimedia, he handled the communication planning, media alliance and implementation requirements of eminent 
commercial brands, services and social sector projects. 

worked extensively on emerging media platforms for initiatives of various  regional clients like : HSBC on ‘Save the Rain Forest’, 
Petronas Malaysia on ‘Safe Driving’, Energiser  batteries on a school programme for ‘Safe Battery Disposal’, 
and Ricoh on an initiative on ‘Go Green Concept’ to promote paperless offices. 

earlier, while in India, he has worked for a diverse set of client businesses, such as Hindustan Lever, ITC, Modi Telstra,  Philips, Shaw Wallace, 
Tata Steel, BPL, Tata Tea, IFB, Subhiksa Stores, ICI, TVS Group and Hatsun Agro Products, to name just a few while on the agency side.

in between, he served as vice president - marketing of Caltiger, india’s first free ISP, for 15 months, 
learning the ropes of the world wide web and the ever burgeoning opportunities it unfolds.

while in Malaysia, he was a key player in the regional agency team working closely with Nokia and Celcom, 
analyzing ARPU trends across various Asian markets to understand the usage and switching patterns 
for both handsets and service providers.

key clients for Malaysia were Telekom Malaysia, TM Net, Celcom, Energiser batteries, Eon Bank, AIA Insurance, Petronas, Tesco, 
Malaysia F1 ( Sepang Intl. Circuit ) etc & regional clients were HSBC, Sony, Nokia, LVMH, Dutch Lady ( Friesland foods ) etc.

his last stint was as the CEO of  brand & marketing consultancy GreyCell Malaysia, at GreyCell, other than just the traditional approach, 
he worked on creating new touch points and platforms that relate to the consumers of today. some interesting projects he worked on 
was creating Asia's first all girls band 'Rice Girls' with DragonSlayer Asia Pte and Sony Entertainment. 

he also worked on a  unique concept for hospitals, where they could add value to first time parents through ‘idoton’, 
a novel idea that reduces patient intrusion but adds immense visibility. 

for the Media Prima group, the largest media conglomerate in Malaysia, he worked on the consolidation and a mix  
across their platforms i.e tv press, radio, outdoor & the www to create the multiplier effect.

he was also involved and associated with Global Films and International Pictures Malaysia, in the capacity of a strategic advisor. 
he has conducted training workshops in India, Singapore, Bangladesh, Thailand and Malaysia, and have also been a visiting faculty 
at Malaysia ad school, communication and innovation trainer for Media Prima Group and was in the judging panel
of Effie awards Malaysia, and council member of MMC.

he relocated to calcutta since the middle of  2011 for family reasons.
