he is a communication strategist offering services in communication consulting and media relations to a host of Indian corporates and trade bodies.

a post graduate in commerce and law, he was a business journalist with two of India's premier business newspapers, namely Business Standard and Economic Times for almost a quarter of a century before turning a communication consultant. In between, he spent a few years abroad in the CIS region where he headed a commodity trading company gathering valuable experience in marketing and liaising with governments in East Europe.

He has also offered media communication services to the Merchant Chamber of Commerce and CAPEXIL, an export promotion body under the Union Ministry of Commerce.

at present along with his responsibilities in building media strategies for brands, he has developed a keen interest in the area of corporate social responsibility wherein he works as an interface between civil society groups and the corporate sector. He has established a CSR Consulting LLP, a professional entity that seeks to bring socially responsive projects and the corporate sector together, crucial to creation of a more sustainable environment in society. He also teaches communication and CSR to post graduate students at several universities and institutions of learning in West Bengal. He also offers lectures on issues relating to ethics in management and corporate governance.
